Music on the Sula Mhor

Music Cruises

The Highlands of Scotland are known throughout the world for their traditional music. Plockton is at the very heart of the Highlands. Some of the finest musicians of the west coast have been brought up in Plockton and its near neighbour the Isle of Skye.

From the swirl of the pipes to the tunes of the fiddle, music and song has been part of Plockton life for as long as anybody can remember. We have a great wealth of musicians in our area and from time to time they like to come on board to entertain.

You will be assured of a warm welcome, make friends and hear some great music as you head up Loch Carron or across Loch Kishorn in the shadow of the Applecross mountains

Weddings

A wedding on the Sula Bheag

Planning a wedding? Looking for somewhere unique to tie the knot? Your ceremony could be out in the middle of the loch with the magical mountains of the Isle of Skye far in the distance.

Who knows, you may have an audience of seals too, barking their best wishes! Whatever the weather, Calum and his team would be delighted to help you arrange a wedding ceremony on the Sula Bheag.

Plockton itself has first class accommodation for your guests, is served by the train from Inverness, and has a range of venues for the perfect wedding reception, after your ceremony on the boat. There’s plenty more for you and your guests to do, in this, the ‘Jewel of the Highlands’.

Spindrift IV in Plockton Bay

Two-Hour Sunset Cruises

Come and enjoy a two-hour evening cruise on Spindrift lV, our Colvic Beta 38.

We will set off from the beautiful village of Plockton, enjoying the unsurpassed views from the viewing deck or from the comfortable saloon while enjoying a refreshment.

The trip will take you into Loch Kishorn to see the spectacular Applecross mountains, the Bealach na Ba and as you sip on a refreshing drink, perhaps a locally brewed ale or a fine Scottish whisky, you can marvel at the panoramic views of the rugged landscape. The silhouette of Skye’s majestic mountains stands in stark contrast to the vivid colors of the sunset, creating a breathtaking scene that feels almost otherworldly.
